Parmesan Cheese? When in Italy I usually bring a big lump of parmesan cheese with me, but it tends to go mouldy quite quickly. How do I prevent it? I've tried different kinds of containers and even packed it with ice packs when I come home but nothing seems to help. Any tips at all?
How do I keep parmesan cheese from sticking together when I add it to a homemade tomato sauce? The last two times I have tried this recipe, the parmesan cheese will not melt into the tomato sauce--it just turns into a big ball of cheese! I am using one cup of shaved parmesan. Should I add it to the tomato sauce when it is boiling or wait for it to cool off? Should the cheese be room temperature? Please let me know, I am trying it again tomorrow. Thanks.
How do you get parmesan cheese to stick to popcorn? I like popcorn with butter and parmesan but usually what I end up with is a bunch of parmesan at the bottom of the bowl! I've tried adding the cheese to the melted butter but it just doesn't stick! How do you get it to stay on the popcorn?
Why does parmesan cheese always disappear from pasta, regardless of how much you put on? Whenever I make pasta with sauce and add parmesan cheese, I can't see it or taste it after like four bites. What goes well with block Parmesan Cheese? I bought a block of parmesan cheese, everything I've tried with the chunks I break off are either overpowered by the cheese or make it taste funny. Have you ever combined, Corn on the Cobb, Mayonnaise, Parmesan cheese? The mexicans where i live make and sell it. I just love it. after boiling the corn and you let it cool off you would spread mayonnaise all over then you would roll it in parmesan cheese. It taste so good. Try it.

Does anybody know the recipe for an Italian grated noodle made with semolina, parmesan cheese, parley and egg? My aunt used to make this every Christmas, and now that she's getting on in years, she can't remember how to make it and she's getting really frustrated. She's never been the type who could "improvise" so having the recipe is really important to her. The tricky part is in the proportion of cheese to semolina -- too much and it falls apart when you boil it in the soup. It also has to be "stiff" enough to grate. We don't know what it's called -- no other families we know make it. Thanks for your help!
