Parmesan Cheese? When in Italy I usually bring a big lump of parmesan cheese with me, but it tends to go mouldy quite quickly. How do I prevent it? I've tried different kinds of containers and even packed it with ice packs when I come home but nothing seems to help. Any tips at all?

Does processed Parmesan cheese expire after two weeks of opening? I opened a package of generic Parmesan cheese over 2 weeks ago (about 3 and a half). I ate some (like 4 tablespoons) today.The package says for all packaged cheese to eat within 2 weeks of opening. I know that Parmesan cheese lasts a long time because of all of the preservatives and the cultures. How do you get parmesan cheese to stick to popcorn? I like popcorn with butter and parmesan but usually what I end up with is a bunch of parmesan at the bottom of the bowl! I've tried adding the cheese to the melted butter but it just doesn't stick! How do you get it to stay on the popcorn?

Why does Kraft parmesan cheese taste the way it does? I absolutely love Kraft parmesan cheese (the one that comes in the green plastic container) but can't figure out why it tastes so much different than other grated and dried parmesans on the market. But I never really looked for it. and our local yokel small town market is very limited in what it stocks. Where to order a large drum of Parmesan cheese? I consume a lot of Parmesan Cheese. I like the solid wedges that are not processed, and I grate them. It is very expensive in retail, at about $8/pound. I don't know why it should be so expensive, given that it is made in huge drums in great quantities. Is shredded Parmesan cheese bad if it is left out if you cook it? I have some Parmesan cheese that has been left out. I've read different sources that say Parmesan is a type of cheese that can be left out for months and still be safe to eat. I wanted to use it in a pasta recipe where it will be cooked all the way down and indistinguishable in a sauce. Will it be really bad to eat and should I just get rid of it? Is it normal to have grated parmesan cheese on mexican food? I went out to dinner at a "traditional" mexican restaurant and ordered flautas and I'm pretty sure it was that powdered grated parmesan cheese all over them. Is that normal for mexican food? Who loves spaghetti with ground beef, tomato sauce, Ragu spaghetti sauce and Parmesan cheese, besides me? Also, who loves pizza and a chef's salad, along with the spaghetti? The chef's salad with lettuce, tomatoes, onions, pickles and either creamy or regular Italian dressing. The pizza, for me, would be either pepperoni &/or sausage w/cheese. To drink, it would be a soft drink, either coke, dr. pepper, 7 up, sprite or sierra mist. For dessert, it would be anything chocolate.
Does anybody know the recipe for an Italian grated noodle made with semolina, parmesan cheese, parley and egg? My aunt used to make this every Christmas, and now that she's getting on in years, she can't remember how to make it and she's getting really frustrated. She's never been the type who could "improvise" so having the recipe is really important to her. The tricky part is in the proportion of cheese to semolina -- too much and it falls apart when you boil it in the soup. It also has to be "stiff" enough to grate. does anyone know a brand of fat free parmesan cheese? i see it in recipes all the time but i dont know what brand even sells this shit. i have a stomach condition in which i cannot tollerate saturated fat so finding a fat free parmesan would make me so happy becuse i could cook the things that i could not cook before.
