Meat Grinder - Where do I buy an electric one? I'm looking to purchase an electric meat grinder. Any recommendations? I don't want to spend a lot of money. When I grind which will be about once every other month I'll only be grinding about 15 pounds so this will be a kitchen project. I've never done this before so recommendations and suggestions are appreciated. Thanks.
What is the best electric meat grinder? I am looking to buy an electric meat grinder to make homemade ground beef, pork, lamb etc, and sausages (with attachment?) I also would like to be able to grind other things, like cheese or vegetables through it. Best personal home electric meat grinder? Make/Model/Price? Thank you!
What does unlocked power wattage & maximum locked motor wattage mean in relation to an electric meat grinder? I am looking to purchase an electric meat grinder but am confused by these 2 measurements. For example, one grinder says 350 unlocked watts and 1800 maximum locked motor watts. What do those numbers refer to?
Converting a hand crank meat grinder to electric? I've got a smaller hand crank meat grinder. The kind that clamps onto a table, not the kind that bolts on. I also have a 1/3 HP electric motor from a dishwasher. It's label says it does 3450 rpms. I know that a small pulley wheel is needed on the shaft of the motor and a larger pulley wheel is needed on the grinder with a belt connecting the two. I just wondered what diameter wheels are needed for the best rpm's to operate the grinder. Also was wondering what would be the best surface to mount the two things. A piece of plywood, a 2 x 12, some 3/16 steel plate, or something else. The motor also has a black, yellow and white wire. I take it the black is hot and white is neutral.
Difference between a food processor and an electric meat grinder? And we already have a manual meat grinder, and someone just gave us an electric meat grinder that has many of the features some common food processors also have (like slicing, grating, chopping ... It has various interchangeable blades). Or we can return it for store credit, and get a more expensive food processor that does it all as well... we've got a Weston’s 82-1010-W (I think it's a #10 size) and I'm considering getting a Cuisine Art - type of f. processor instead... What's the difference in food preparations between a food processor and an electric meat grinder. I mean, sure I know that one has a mixing bowl, and the other - an ability to grind meat (easy to prepare sausages)... does anyone have a meatgrinder they use in everyday cooking ?? Appreciate in advance! I do want the FP, but my wife cooks 7 out 10 times... I just want to make sure she is getting what she needs, not just a gift with imaginary qualities :) + there's the budget We have a manual meat grinder, and we were given an electric meat grinder that has many of the features some common food processors also have (like slicing, grating, chopping … It has various interchangeable blades). My wife hopes that it’ll take away the need to get a food processor. On one hand the budget won’t allow us to have both (in the short term), on the other hand, we won’t sadden our relatives (… that 50% of buyers that are moms, lol)! that gave it to us (we’ll need to ask them for the gift-receipt) Would this grinder operate as a food processor (or somewhat close to that performance?) We’re not big ground meat eaters, and are fine buying it in Whole Foods every once in a while. on the other hand we go through many grocery bags of vegetables…\
What is the best brand of electric meat grinders? I want to get my husband a meat grinder for Christmas. He is a big deer hunter, with a big deer hunting family. He would like to have a grinder so he can process the family's meat. I have no idea what to get!! I have seen a few in Bass Pro shop, but I've never been satisfied with their "cooking" products. What is a good brand for meat grinders? Any online stores would be great.
Electric meat grinder advice needed!? We "need" a new meat grinder because my husband doesn't like his home built model anymore even tho I told him to buy a bigger motor. We currently have a 1/3 horsepower motor on the thing. So he wants a new one. We usually process about 200 lbs of venison in one day after butchering deer. Is this way too much for a Kitchen Aid mixer attachment? I don't own a kitchen aid now, but I home bake a lot, so I'm not against getting one. And am I going to have to buy the top of the line? Or do I need to buy a good meat grinder? The Sausage Maker catalog has a 3/4 hp one for $100. Any advice on meat grinding would be great! Thanks!
Do electric meat grinders really work? I have heard that getting the old fashioned kind is best because the electric ones tend to burn out. I would like to start grinding our own meat because I can sometimes get round steak cheaper than regular ground chuck.
Need electric schematic for Hamilton Beach Meat Grinder Model #168? Bought H.B. grinder at flea mkt. At home, disassembled, cleaned, oiled and re-assembled but forgot how the six wires are to be connected.

Can you help me with meat grinders? This could be a dumb question but I will risk humiliation and ask anyway. I'm looking to buy an electric meat grinder and I want to make sure that all meat grinders can handle the grinding of bone. After all..that's what they are for, right?

Does an a/c motor need a capacitor? I'm trying to convert a hand crank meat grinder into an electric one. I know that the motor and grinder need to be connected by 2 pulleys and a wheel. The motor I have is 1/3 HP, 3450 rpms and comes from a dishwasher. There is some kind of coil in the wiring before the current gets to the motor. Do I need this coil/capacitor for the motor to work or can I just splice the motor to an electric cord and add an on/off switch? I just want to make an electric meat grinder and want to know how to properly make the motor turn.
Is there anywhere I can get info on an old Montgomery Ward Meat Chopper? My father recently gave me an old motorized meat grinder, and I'd love to find out some information on it. It weighs 36 lbs., and the label says "Montgomery Ward & Co. Electric Meat and Food Chopper, Model 86-5167." I know it runs well, and it's been serviced once or twice over the years. He told me it belonged to his father, and I'd love to find out more on the history of these machines. Addition: I found a very tiny engraving on the lid to the oil reservoir--"EDCO DETROIT". So it looks like this was probably manufactured in the USA.
Have you ever used the Cabela's meat grinder? Bought one today because my in-laws can't find their massive, awesome electric one. Picked up the small one, #10. Didn't last 15 minuets. The end screw cap keeps popping off. If you don't put the plate in it screws in fine, but you can't grind like that. I'm a little livid at the moment, as Cabelas isn't exactly close to my work, and I had plans for tomorrow other than returning this piece of crap. Anyone else ever try one? The reviews online seem to back up my experience.
Help, I accidently killed my dog from a house incident.? So i was inside my house watching the superbowl and my dog kept barking outside. So i went outside to let him inside and i went back to watch tv. While watching i got hungry and went to the kitchen for some lemonade. But when i walked in i found my dog dead and shredded to bits and pieces from my electric meat grinder machine. Oh my god then the glass window that led to my frontyard there was a boy that saw the whole thing. Heres a photograph of him outside when he saw the incident. http://i54.tinypic.com/n5pzbr.png As you see the young boy was completely frightened and threated to call the cops. So i decided to calm him down but accidently pushed him into the meat grinder machine and now im very sad :(. What can i do to fix this i accidently killed my dog and a young boy. Please help me, thank you very much. - Dick Thompson
do 110VA electrical appliances consume less electricity by using 220 VA electric grid? in my country there is 220VA of electricity supplied at 50HZ. Now if i use 110 VA appliance such as an american meat grinder or an Air conditioner by using a converter then how much electricity would be saved. www.fujiwadps.com.sg/ also see this for better understanding
Electric Motor Wiring? I have a motor out of a garage door opener, I believe 1/3 hp. Not much information on the motor itself but there are four wires coming out of the casing (Red, White, Brown and Blue). Red and Blue appear to be taped off on top of the brushes and the white and brown appear to go into the brushes. There is also a capacitor with this motor. I would like to connect this to a meat grinder and was wondering if I could eliminate the capacitor since I do not need the start up power that was needed with the garage door opener. If so, how do I wire the four coming from the motor? Thanks!!! Justin

I think that African Americans inspired white musicians in a good way. Inspiring is a great thing, you see its not just black or white culture. There is no such thing as black or white culture, our culture is pure American. In my eyes we are all one race of human, no matter the skin color we are all homo sapiens scientifically. Homo meaning the same, so don't look at it as one color stealing from another. Look at it as the Human race inspiring each other. You should be glad too that we live in a time where we can finally agree on this. 5 hours ago Choose as Best Answer 5 Rating: Good Answer 0 Rating: Bad Answer Report Abuse by John Member since: July 10, 2008 Total points: 1094 (Level 3) Add to My Contacts Block User An equally valid question is why do black people take electronic insrumentation invented by whites and produce such crap music? See how this goes? Early rock and roll done by whites was equal parts blues influenced rock (black influence) and hillbilly music. Hence the term rock-a-billy. Like Elvis, Johnny Cash, Carl Perkins, and the like. Who was Nat King Cole immitating? Sammy Davis? Notice a pattern here? America is nothing but a cultural meat grinder and what gets fed out the other side is dependent on what gets fed into the damn thing. You are correct though that hip hop is mass produced garbage. 5 hours ago Choose as Best Answer 2 Rating: Good Answer 0 Rating: Bad Answer Report Abuse by juliejul... Your definition of culture is different than mine. There's American music and foreign music of different countries. That's how I see it. I understand that there are many different people in USA such as country folk that live in the country...is that culture? Small differences in my opinion. I see culture as bigger differences such as American and German. Therefore, white people do have a culture. We're American and if you compare us to British or Germans or Mexicans we'd have the American culture. Americans eat, dress, different religion, different music, different accents, values, etc as a foreigner. duh. I've heard foreign Rap music so if they stole something from people they don't even know well okay then. lol. 4 hours ago Source(s): educated Choose as Best Answer 1 Rating: Good Answer 2 Rating: Bad Answer Report Abuse by Suhana S Member since: December 25, 2007 Total points: 142 (Level 1) Add to My Contacts Block User You should be glad we did!!!! I think what the problem is here is that you're not seeing your own people as Americans, which you most assuredly are. Remember that Europeans created Western classical music, upon which all the American musical notation is based. There are other classical systems worldwide, but the European one is the most widely used. 4 hours ago Choose as Best Answer 1 Rating: Good Answer 1 Rating: Bad Answer Report Abuse by U w Member since: July 21, 2008 Total points: 382 (Level 2) Add to My Contacts Block User Once an artist of any ilk completes a project (be it painting, architecture, sculpture, music or anything else) they release it into the world. People are free to appreciate it, criticize it, ignore it and not understand it. I’d guess from your tone that you feel people of other races appreciating what you do somehow invalidates it as an expression of what you suppose to be your own culture. Beauty is beauty. Just as ugly is ugly. If people didn’t or couldn’t appreciate art from other geographic “races” then there’d be a real problem. As to the question of racial culture there simply is no such thing. The natural forces that bred some groups to have red hair others black, some groups lighter and others darker is much wider than the forces that create cultures. Meaning that from one side of a given country to the other there are differing cultural mannerisms customs and speech patterns. Social class (rich, poor, middle-class) also carries cultural differences with it. In the states people who’ve lived in the same geographical area and who share the same social class are going to have a lot more in common than they would have differences with people of their ancestral homelands. 4 hours ago Choose as Best Answer 2 Rating: Good Answer 0 Rating: Bad Answer Report Abuse by Matthew P Member since: February 21, 2008 Total points: 4250 (Level 4) Badge Image: Contributing In: Boxing Add to My Contacts Block User Because its good...pretty much all music today has its roots in music created by Africans and Black Americans...even techno. See how ridicolous this is? It's a pointless pointing the finger game. As for rock, rap & hip hop which are traditional music styles which started with perhaps heavy African-American influence. It's not really stealing, as much as appropriating is it? They took something they saw and added their own flavor to it. But if your miffed. Why don't you go and steal some traditional white people music. Such as country, techno, electronic, metal, heavy metal, classical, opera, etc...? I would say it is very extreme to say that "white people" have no culture. First off you will find no white person who will admit to a "white culture." The thing is. Most white people are not cultural bastards the way most black people are. We know our ancestry. Hence we are for example proud of our English, Irish or perhaps German ancestry. There is no such thing as a congruent sticking together on basis of race. Except perhaps in the US. If you go to a German and to an Englishmen in Europe and tell them they should both have the same culture and be bestest buddies since their both white. You'll get beaten up badly by both of them. Racial pride is almost non-existant in Europe. There it is a matter of national pride. And to think of what the culture of various European nations has brought us: Operas in big performing halls (the basis of all soap dramas on TV to come) Classical music (Beethoven, Mozart, Wagner, Strauss, etc..) Pianos, violins, etc.. Precise architecture. Paved streets. Cars. Planes. Motorized boats. Electricity. Television. Radio. Internet. Computers. Cameras. Video recorders. On and on. Yep what did whitey give us civilization in terms of culture? Absolutely nothing of course.......the world would have been absolutely the same if there would have been no white people on this world..... But don't take such an America centric attitude. You should never go to Europe and call someone there white. Call them Austrian, Swedish, English or whatever. Since all your asking is for a beatdown for insulting them by somehow stating to them their race is more important than their nationality. 42 minutes ago Choose as Best Answer 0 Rating: Good Answer 0 Rating: Bad Answer Report Abuse
