what are moral implications in relation to manufacture of a cheese grater?

- Nothing to worry your pretty little head over!!!
- Immense. Manufacturers have to take responsibility for every grated finger and every finger nail ever served in mac n cheese
- NOW YOUR GETTING TO THE RUB OF IT IT SHOULD HAVE A WARNING "THIS ITEM MIGHT BE USED BY NUTS" "ONLY USE ON HARD CHEESE"
- Plastic or metal? Makes a difference.
- The answer is in your question.Look harder.
- I used to be a "Cheese grater" but then i am a bit flaky!
- If this is for design technology then it's the usual stuff I'm afraid. Think about production, it's shelf life, usability and disposability. OK, here's one implication for each... Production; Is the cheapest way to make it by getting little kids to make it in a sweat house? Can this be avoided by using cheaper materials so that you can pay a higher wage? Shelf life; Is it designed so that it breaks after one year or will it go on forever meaning the customer only spends their money with you once in a life time? Does the price reflect this? Usability; Is it suitable for all sections of society? What about left handed people, children, people with upper limb disabilities? Disposability; Is it biodegradable? Will it be hazordous, ie, give off toxins or have sharp bits that may cause injury, as it deteriorates. Hope that helps.
- Whenever a cheese grater is made, it is a potential tool for sadomasochists. Elderly judges, dressed in nappies, often ask their dominatrix to use a metal cheese grater. Therefore, there is a moral dilemma surrounding the whole issue of sex and violence!
