is my cheese grater suposed to do that.?

ok. so i bought a cheese grater from china town. they say that there is "magic" in it. they say the cheese is blessed when you cut it. so i cut the cheese for my mother. she liked it, and said it was a different taste. so i said that it was regular chedder cheese. then later that night my grandparents came over. this time i used pepper jack. they said the same thing. now everyone wants me to cut the cheese for them. help is it magic or am i gulibal.
