Is using a cheese grater on a suspect's knees justified if he might know something that might saves lives?

- Rush Limbaugh eats 6 meals a day.
- Physical Harm = Torture.
- Oh all they were doing was trying to get the dead skin off!
- Sure. But none of our US Military have done that but they have splashed some water on some terrorists faces.
- No and now keeping him awake isn't either.
- In my opinion, the ends justifies the means. Unfortunately, the law says otherwise. So uh...SHHHH
- No.
- We'd probably get the answers quicker if it was used on their face. It might even be more fun.
- Only if foreign countries can use the same justification to torture Americans.
- Only if they are made out of Cheese. Thats the rules with my Grater. If you buy your own I do not care..
- then you shouldnt mind having your finger nais pulled out with a pair of pliers.
- Troll.......And there is absolutely no circumstance that justifies torture. Suppose you fit the description of someone the police wanted to question. They pick you up. They think you have information that could save lives. They strap you to a board and start torturing you for information what would you do? Remember your innocent and have not had a trial yet. What do you do? Eventually you will make something up, Fabricate a story maybe even incriminate a friend or enemy of yours. That's not right. It's not just and it is not the AMERICAN WAY! Torture needs to stop at all costs! When we lower ourselves to that level we lower ourselves to the level of the terrorists.
- I don't know. Is hiding somthing that might kill many lives justified?
- if he might? no. if it is known for sure he might...definitely. if we are talking about a known bomb maker that obviously has a bomb factory that is operational and grating his knees will keep innocent people from being killed...go for it.
- This war is a business. Maybe what you mentioned could be profitable for those who do that.
