10. NO NO NO NO NO NO NO NO NO NO NO !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! That would be WAY too much unnecessary effort. First, make sure you have a large bottle of the liquor of your choice. (for anesthetic purposes) Then go to your local hardware or grocery store and pick up a small can of lye. A big advantage with lye is that it comes with directions right on the label. They're in the paragraph that begins "WARNING! DO NOT..." .
11. A belt sander is slightly less painful.
