can i use cheddar cheese in garlic bread instead of parmesan cheese?

i will make a garlic spread.. but i cant find parmesan cheese, so i decide to use cheddar.. is that ok?

  2. yes you can. just remember that it will be a little more oily than parm but it will be very good. another twist could be to add just a little BBQ sauce to the garlic spread to compliment the cheddar even more

  5. I saw Giada make a cheddar garlic bread with scallions that looked fantastic. Go for it!
  6. When cooking, it's good to experiment. You might find something better then the established recipe. Just use good judgment.
