I got Parmesan Cheese on my carpet, how can i get rid of the smell?

I vacuumed out the crumbs...but the smell is still there!

  1. Sprinkle baby powder and leave for afew days and then vacuum.
  2. Mix small amount of laundry washing powder/liquid with hot water use a sponge and thoroughly rub area. Then using plain hot water rinse the area - that should do it.
  3. A mixture of vinegar and hot water will neutralize almost any bad smell.
  4. Sprinkle a little baking soda on the area and let it set then vacuum. This should take the smell away. If that doesn't work then get some Febreeze. It covers almost all smells.
  5. Sprinkle with carpet sprinkle from Glade or one of those Carpet Fresh cans or Spray with Febreeze. I would let the sprinkle set for a couple days.
  6. The odor will dissipate after a few days, but Arm and Hammer makes a Pet Fresh Carpet deodorizer that can mask the scent of a herd of skunks! Available at your grocery store in the housekeeping aisle. :)
  7. pour lots of baking soda over it , let it sit 2 days and vacuum it up ..
