- Sure can.
- I have used grater but a better alternative is to use peeler. If your chocolate is cold right from the fridge it will give u nice swirls. Hope this helps.
- cheese grater isn't just for grating cheeses!! you can also use it for grating chocolates, nuts, apples, potatoes and lots of other things. don't use the nutmeg grater portion of this thing for chocolate or cheese!! You will be til next christmas getting enough to go through those tiny little holes. You can also use the apple or potato peeler to make chocolate curls if you wish! they are a bit hard to do without crumbling, warm the chocolate a little and try it!
- Yes it works fine, just make sure the chocolate is cold and solid.
- Hi Joshu,There are no dumb questions, just dumb answers. Yes you can use a grater but it is not very effective, just think of the hand that is holding the chocolate. I agree with the person who said use a peeler, although there is another way depending on how you want it to look. Short bursts in a food processor with the grater attached. theyhave to be short bursts so that it does not melt the chocolate. Another possible way would to use a serated knife and runit down the side of the block.I suggest that if you do use a grater, keep everything well chilled - grater as well and hold the chocolate in some greaseproof that has been in the freezer.I hope this helps, all the best. rab http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=3bFIm6SNy9I http://www.myrecipes.com/recipes/howto/video/0,28816,1847908,00.html
