How do you prevent grated parmesan cheese from sticking to the bottom of the contained?
In particular, I'm referring to the Kraft 16oz tall containner. I've had "real" parmesan cheese before. Kraft is better. It's probably the one commerical product I like over the "real" thing.

- That's not cheese. That's sawdust. Do yourself a favor. Go out and get a chunk of real imported parmesan cheese and a grater. You will notice the difference within a microsecond of tasting it. When that's gone, go out and get a chunk of Parmigiano-Reggiano. This could change your life. I'm serious. Throw that little green tube in the garbage and don't look back.
- I just shake it to death and store it upside down.
- put flour inside the container and then put the parmesan u got ok good
- Make sure your fridge isn't too humid. This can cause your "dry goods" to stick together. Seal the container in a zip lock also for added protection.
- Hello, I agree with buying a chunk and grating it. If you want to use the green tube and it sticks to the bottom, throw it out, I could not be bothered with shaking it to death. I guess it is not being used often, that is why it sticks. Grate grate grate.
- Grease it up with a little bit of olive oil
- Amen...the stuff is crap. Get a real block of cheese and grate it. Tat powdered stuff in the can shouldn't even be legal.
- You put it in the fridge!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
- Somebody once told me to put saltine crackers in there to soak up the moisture...But I don't know if it works.
- You shake it a really really lot.
- Don't keep it in the fridge.
- if it gets stuck on the container put under hot water.thats what i do.
- Keep it in da fridge.
- a little bit of flour shaken up with it all
- store it on the lid then befor u open it flip it
- Make sure the container is completely dry, and a little flour helps to prevent it fron sticking. :)
- I don't think there is a way to keep it from sticking. You might try buying it in a smaller container if you just don't use it that much.
- Freeze it... loosens it up and you can still use it as you would if it was just refrigerated...
- you spray it with non stisk spray
- spray the bottom of the container with non-stick spray
- keep it in the freezer, it won't change the taste
- ppl got it covered ;)
- dont put it in the frigerator
- you could try a butter knife. stick the knife in were the cheese comes out and swish it around! if that doesnt work i just shake it !!!*** its kindof fun ( i make up this kindof retarded dance while i say "shakey shakey"lik a bizzilion times( its kindof F.U.N.)
- hit the bottom end of the tube with the handle of a knife. if that doesnt work stick the knife in and loosen the cheese up manualy
- put some baking soda down there at bottom
- put your container a lil bit of oil........promise....it wont stick into it..!!!!!
- Add uncooked rice kernels.
- oh very simple... just store your cheese upside down!
- After reading the added note, I still say grate your own block of parmesan cheese. Kraft is for suckers.
- DUDE. only real freaks dont know how good KRAFT cheese is. mmm kraft. ( drools )
- store the container upside down
- With all the conflicting answers given so far, you really need to consult a manufacturing company of parmesan. For me,it is the first time to hear this name!!!
- I put in a taablespoon of rice (uncooked) when it gets down to i/4 it's size .
- I keep mine in the freezer upside down. It is a great tip!Hope this helps!
- keep it on a cold non-humid place (ex. drawer) with rice inside. This tip also works for preventing salt from getting sticky
- you shake it around, the bottom junk will come loose
- yo should put it in the fridge and if that doesn't work maybe you just shouldn't eat parmesan cheese or shread it yourself.
- I would use a non stick pan and spray it with some non stick stuff like Pam or grease it really good. If you entend to Cook and get the pan hot then the cheese is going to melt regardless. A teflon pan is preferable.
- you use butter or some kind of cooking oil
- use cheap cheese or do not be lazy at dinner time and grate your own as was it was meant to be at time of use. real parmasean cheese comes from cows that are fed the whey of that cheese making process.
- PUT A LITTLE OIL IN THE BOTTOM OF THE COTAINER.
- Put in another container after you open it. I recommend to use the Kraft bottle.
- put the container upside down, then the parmesan wont stick to the bottom
- idk and idc
- Beat it really hard on my table untill it comes loose.
- search it up
- you can't just pound the container on your hand or the counter gently, it breaks up just fine.
- Shake the container EVERY time you use it.
- drink something right after words it usually works or just dont eat it, l/o/l
