Graters - What happens if you get hit in the face and you have facial piercings?

What happens if you get hit in the face and you have facial piercings?

If you got hit in a facial piercing, or even an ear piercing, would that turn your piercing into a cheese grater or somthing like it?

a boy slapped me once in the left ear... the earring stabbed me and I cried for hours till the bleeding stopped....
Well if it's a new/unhealed piercing it would hurt like hell. If it's of a small enough gauge I suppose it could be ripped out if hit hard enough, but if it's a large gauge the chance of that happening is low. I've gotten hit in the ear a few times and nothing has ever happened.. just had an angry piercing or two for a few days.

last year a handball hit my cartilage piercing a few weeks after I got it done & it turned red. there was no blood though. when there's huge amounts of pressure being applied on a sensitive piercing, it will turn red.
